Research of ICD Alumnus featured in Medical Daily and Fox News

RabyThe research of Lee Raby, (ICD 2014), currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Delaware, has been cited in several publications, including EurekAlert (Early caregiving experiences have long-term effects on social relationships, achievement) and Fox News (Early caregiving may affect child’s academic, social success). Raby and colleagues have been exploring the predictive effects of maternal sensitivity during the first three years of life using data from the Minnesota Longitudinal Study of Risk and Adaptation. In this current study of the data, Raby has found that sensitive material sensitivity in early childhood does predict later academic success as well as social competence or success.
