Counselor ed student named 2022 Potential School Counselor of the Year by MSCA

Tony Mills, a second year student in the Department of Educational Psychology’s counselor education program program, was recently recognized as the Potential School Counselor of the Year Award for 2022 by the Minnesota School Counselor Association (MSCA). Tony was nominated by his advisor Dr. Marguerite Ohrtman who presented the award to Mills at the MSCA Annual Conference on November 6, 2022.

Mills was selected from graduate students across the state for having the most potential as a school counselor. He is the sixth counselor education (formerly counseling and student personnel psychology) student selected in the past eight years. 

Mills is also serving on the MSCA Board this school year as the graduate student representative.
