Hawe receives research grant to study visual strategies of children with cerebral palsy during movement

Rachel Hawe, PhD, assistant professor of kinesiology and director of the NeuroRehabilitation Across the Lifespan Laboratory, was awarded an American Physical Therapy Association Pediatrics Research Grant for $29,966. The grant, “Examining Visual Strategies in Motor Planning and Execution in Children with Hemiparetic Cerebral Palsy,” will combine robotics and eye tracking to understand where children with cerebral palsy direct their visual attention when planning and completing arm movements.
