Li LI Ji, PhD, professor of exercise physiology in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Physiological Hygiene and Exercise Science (LPHES), was the opening keynote speaker at the 5th Conference on Innovations in Food Science & Human Nutrition (IFHN-2022) held in Barcelona, Spain on September 20. He gave a talk entitled, “Protection of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and exercise training against high-fat diet in skeletal muscle.” This talk highlighted the findings of a LPHES study — that a diet supplemented with extra virgin olive oil can help reverse the effects of muscle deterioration due to a high fat diet.
