Juckett publishes article in the International Journal of Sports Medicine

Will Juckett, MS, a doctoral student in the School of Kinesiology is the lead author of an article titled, “Total and regional body composition of NCAA collegiate female rowing athletes,” that was recently published in the International Journal of Sports Medicine. The purpose of the research examined in this paper was to explore body composition in female NCAA Division I collegiate rowers and compare it to healthy aged-matched female controls. In addition, this research examined the effects of a competitive season, boat category, and oar side on body composition. These findings will help rowing personnel better understand of body composition of female NCAA Division I collegiate rowers. Don Dengel, PhD, a professor of kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Integrative Human Physiology (LIHP), Madeline Czeck, PhD, a recent graduate of the School of Kinesiology program as well as Nick Evanoff, MS, a current doctoral student in the School of Kinesiology were also co-authors on this article.
