Tucker Center scholars attend IWG World Conference on Women & Sport

Nicole LaVoi, PhD, Dunja Antunovic, PhD, and Anna Goorevich, MS, a PhD student, of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport attended and presented at the International Working Group’s (IWG) 8th World Conference on Women & Sport hosted in Auckland, New Zealand. LaVoi presented on leadership in sports and coaching. Dr. Antunovic, alongside Dr. Toni Bruce from the University of Auckland, presented on amplifying and raising the visibility of women’s sports. Goorevich’s presentation was entitled “Understanding Menstrual Health in Physical Activity” where she shared her master’s thesis research alongside Dr. Sarah Zipp from Mount St. Mary’s University, Lisa Murawsky and Rohini Mukerjee from the Naandi Foundation, Lilamani de Soysa from IWG, and Dr. Lombe Mwambwa from the Global Observatory for Gender Equality and Sport.
