Over the summer months, Michael Goh, associate professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD), conducted four invited workshops on intercultural competence for teaching artists of the Neighborhood Bridges program. Neighborhood Bridges is the Minneapolis Children’s Theatre Company’s (CTC) signature literacy program, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national model for arts education. Bridges’ curriculum embraces diversity through critical pedagogy and content, empowering students to create their own narratives for their lives through creative writing, theatre, and storytelling.
