Gunnar selected as cornerstone co-lead for University’s research strategic plan

GunnarM-prefThe University of Minnesota’s Office of Vice President for Research announced last week that Megan Gunnar, Regent’s Professor and director, Institute of Child Development, has been selected as a co-lead, along with Harry Orr, director, Institute for Translational Neuroscience, of the Enhance Research Excellence cornerstone of the Five Years Forward research strategic plan, which will advance the University’s research mission over the next five years.

The co-leads were selected from across the University system and are charged with leading the plan’s tactical implementation of Five Years Forward. The four cornerstones of Five Years Forward include: Enhance Research Excellence, Advance Transdisciplinary Partnerships, Accelerate Transfer of Knowledge for Public Good, and Promote Culture of Serendipity.
