Rebecca Shlafer (Ph.D. 2010) and Amy Gower (Ph.D. 2011) have been published in the March issue of the Journal of Adolescent Health. Their article, The Impact of Family and Peer Protective Factors on Girls’ Violence Perpetration and Victimization discusses the findings of their study investigating whether family and peer connections and prosocial norms protect adolescent girls from becoming involved in violence and whether a youth development intervention provides additional benefit to these protective factors.
