ICD Doctoral Students publish on biological and cognitive processes of maltreatment in CYFC’s eReview

Adrienne VanZomeren-Dohm and Rowena Ng, doctoral candidates at the Institute of Child Development, contributed a research review to the March 2013 Children, Youth & Family Consortium’s Children’s Mental Health eReview. In the eReview, How trauma ‘gets under the skin’: Biological and cognitive processes of child maltreatment, VanZomeren-Dohm and Ng discuss current research findings on how stressful, traumatic experiences in early childhood, a period of rapid growth and change, can affect biological functioning and development as a whole.
