Vavrus keynote speaker at Midwest Comparative and International Society Conference

Dr. Frances VavrusDr. Frances Vavrus, professor and director of graduate studies in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD), was the keynote speaker at the Midwestern Comparative and International Education Society Regional Conference held on October 10-11 at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  Her speech, entitled Critical Internationalization: Moving from Theory to Practice, addressed the importance of equity and social justice in university internationalization efforts.  She also led a workshop at the conference on the vertical case study, an approach to policy studies she has developed with Dr. Lesley Bartlett at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
