Joan DeJaeghere, associate professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD), has been selected as an expert consultant to the MacArthur Foundation. Her focus is on girls’ secondary education in Africa and India. At a consultation on June 6, 2014, in Chicago, she will discuss how formal and non-formal education equip economically marginalized girls with skills and attributes that enhance agency.
