Mary Brabeck (Ph. D. ’80) and Kate Steffens (Ph.D. ’89) have each applied what they learned through the Department of Educational Psychology to reach the top of their field. Since 2003 Brabeck has been dean of New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development, which consistently ranks among the top 15 graduate schools of education, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Steffens is expanding the leadership skills she developed at more traditional colleges in her new position as dean of the Richard W. Riley College of Education at Walden University, a for-profit, online university.
