Stephanie Carlson’s work with the Sesame Street writers has resulted in a new perspective on life and treats for Cookie Monster, as seen in this Sesame Street video, Me Want It (But Me Wait) on YouTube. Carlson, associate professor at the Institute of Child Development, worked with Sesame Street on incorporating the concepts of executive function(EF), such as self-control and working memory, that are crucial tools for young children’s learning for their 44th season to launch in September.
