Recently, CEHD students working with the Center for Sales Leadership + Education competed in the State Farm Marketing and Sales Competition at the University of Central Missouri. Michael Rowe and Lindsey Sperling of the CSLE Sales Team finished first overall in the team event across 14 teams, and both got 2nd place overall individually! The goal of the competition was to generate interest in State Farm from a Gen-Z perspective, and the students chose to use mental health as their method of achieving that.
CSLE competes in events like these around four times per semester with the goal of educating students on sales efforts with relevant topics and opportunities to hone their sales efforts. These competitions are a great way for students to directly apply the concepts from their CEHD/OLPD classes to real world experiences.
