Diane Dettmann (B.S. ‘69) published her first work of historical fiction, Courageous Footsteps: A WWII Novel. The story centers around two Japanese American teenagers, imprisoned in an internment camp. Surrounded by barbwire fences and armed guards they struggle to overcome the daily hardships.
