Soccer coach training program in Uganda attracts national attention

<aDr. Diane Wiese-Bjornstal (right) and <aDr. Stacy Ingraham returned last week from Africa where they delivered a youth soccer coaching education program to over 160 men and women coaches from across Uganda. They and several other academics and professionals from the Twin Cities area are involved in this ongoing project funded by an International Sports Programming Initiative grant from the SportsUnited Division of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs.
