Dragseth to retire June 2014

DragsethK-2012After serving five impactful years as director of the Administrative Licensure program in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD), Dr. Ken Dragseth will be retiring in June, 2014. He came to the University of Minnesota after a distinguished career as an educator and superintendent in Edina, as evidenced by numerous accolades and awards, including being named National Superintendent of the Year in 2003. During his time as director, Dr. Dragseth has drawn on his expertise as an educational leader to further strengthen the program, and has positively impacted the development of over 230 administrative licensure students. In addition, he played a key role in bringing the Minnesota Principals Academy to OLPD, and in elevating the University’s standing with statewide educational leaders and Minnesota schools.

The University has been fortunate to have a proven leader like Dr. Dragseth in this role for the past five years. The Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development is presently launching its search for the next director of the Administrative Licensure program.
