Ferguson shares media literacy expertise on KMOJ radio program

Gail Ferguson, PhD, an associate professor in the Institute of Child Development, recently appeared on “Power to the Parents,” a KMOJ radio program hosted by Northside Achievement Zone‘s President and CEO Sondra Samuels.

The first of the two-part interview aired live on November 10, 2019, and the second part will air on an upcoming Sunday at 11:30 a.m. CT. 

During the segment, Ferguson discussed how her lab, the Culture and Family Life Lab, empowers parents and teens with media literacy skills in the Jamaican cultural community. She also discussed evidence-based ways media can be used to support the health and development of children.
