ICD alum Camelia Hostinar receives 2022 Boyd McCandless Award from APA Division 7

Camelia Hostinar, PhD, who earned a PhD in developmental psychology (formerly child psychology) in 2013, has received the 2022 Boyd McCandless Award from Division 7 of the American Psychological Association (APA). The Boyd McCandless Award recognizes young scientists who have made distinguished contributions to the field of developmental psychology. Award recipients have demonstrated continued efforts, rather than a single outstanding work, within eight years of completing their doctoral degree.

Hostinar is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of California-Davis Department of Psychology. Her research focuses on early-life stress experience and its effect on later development and health. At UC-Davis she runs the Social Environment and Stress (SES) Lab working with graduate students interested in this area of study.

Congratulations, Dr. Hostinar!
