At the start of this school year we wanted to take the opportunity to welcome ICD’s new class of PhD in developmental psychology students. We are thrilled to have the following students join us at ICD and are looking forward to working with them across the next several years!
Colin Drexler – Developmental Science
Colin earned a BA in Psychology and History from Northwestern University in 2020. He is a first year doctoral student on the developmental science track at ICD. His research interests include cognitive development, developmental neuroscience, early childhood, executive function, reflective practice, social and emotional development.
Rachel Kritzik – DPCS
Rachel earned a BA in Psychology and Global Health from Northwestern University in 2020. She is a first year doctoral student on the developmental psychopathology and clinical science track at ICD. Her research interests include early childhood, infant and early childhood mental health, prevention/intervention, resilience, stress and maltreatment, vulnerable populations and social determinants of health.
Phil Sternberg Lamb – Developmental Science
Phil earned a BA in Public Health from Brown University in 2018 and an MA in Applied Clinical Psychology from Pennsylvania State University- Erie in 2022. He is a first year doctoral student on the developmental science track at ICD. His research interests include adolescents and youth, families and parenting, lifespan, prevention/intervention, relationships, social and emotional development, stress and maltreatment and vulnerable populations.
Lydia Lewis – Developmental Science
Lydia earned a BS in Neuroscience from University of Pittsburgh in 2018. She is a first year doctoral student on the developmental science track at ICD. Her research interests include adolescents and youth, cognitive development, developmental neuroscience, social and emotional development.
Tru Powell – DPCS
Tru earned a BS in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology and Computer Science from Emory University in 2018. She is a first year doctoral student on the developmental psychopathology and clinical science track at ICD. Her research interests include families and parenting, prevention/intervention, resilience, poverty, early adversity, statistical modeling and measurement.
Yeonju Suh – Developmental Science
Yeonju earned a BS in Psychology from Duke University in 2020. She is a first year doctoral student on the developmental science track at ICD. Her research interests include cognitive development, culture, cross-culture, early childhood, social and emotional development and intergroup social cognition/social categorization.
Diqi Zeng – Developmental Science
Diqi earned a BS in Geography & Psychology from University of Cincinnati in 2022 and an MA in Psychology from University of Chicago in 2021. She is a first-year doctoral student at ICD primarily working with Dr. Melissa Koenig. Her interests include studying how children’s understanding of social categories and social group memberships inform their decisions on social and learning activities.
