In January 2012, a new group of 21 Elementary Education students began their licensure program. They received training on Co-Teaching from Stacy Ernst and Patsy Vinogradov as part of their orientation on January 13. They are alternating their time between coursework on campus and clinical time in our partner schools during this spring semester.
Working with in the TERI partner network school sites in extended 1-year placements, some of the elementary candidates are placed at year-round partner schools: Harambe Elementary in EMID and Crossroads Elementary in St. Paul. Still others are co-teaching in multi-year looped classrooms. Such placements provide a cohesive, one-site placement experience from this school year into the fall 2012 semester.
Best wishes to our teacher candidates and their cooperating teachers as they begin this important work together!
