Social Work Ph.D. candidate Rusudan Kilaberia has received a Pre-Dissertation Initiative award from the Association for Gerontology Education in Social Work. The association provides support each year for a cohort of 10 doctoral students who have completed the first year of doctoral studies. The goal is to support dissertation and career development in gerontological social work research and education. The students will receive more than 10 hours of programming delivered by nationally recognized experts in gerontological social work research and teaching prior to the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) conference in November in Boston.
