Teresa Michelle Mamanche Obrero, a social work dual degree student, has won a University of Minnesota President’s Student Leadership and Service Award. The award is given to approximately one-half of one percent of the student body for exceptional leadership and service to the University of Minnesota and the surrounding community. Obrero is a master’s degree candidate in social work and public policy. The award will be presented at the President’s Award Banquet on May 3 in the Great Hall of Coffman Union.
