Elison’s brain scan research featured on Fox 9 story

1jedJed Elison, assistant professor in the Institute of Child Development, was featured on Fox 9 for groundbreaking research that is using infant brain scans to establish early identification and intervention strategies for the emergence of maladaptive behaviors in children, including autism spectrum disorder. The goal is to chart brain development in children between 3 and 24 months, an age when the foundation is laid for subsequent social and cognitive development.

“We have evidence that the brain starts to change long before the behavior starts to manifest,” Elison said in the story.
