FSoS Jodi Dworkin awarded GPSA travel grant

Dworkin-StrackJ-2003Department of Family Social Science professor Jodi Dworkin is among nine CEHD faculty who received U of M Global Programs and Strategy Alliance (GPSA) travel grants.
Professor Dworkin plans to travel to Australia to coordinate an international, applied research project.
“This research would consider the impact of family on university attendance and the success of under-represented and at risk students (e.g., international students, low-income students, non-traditional students, and indigenous students). I will be talking with collaborators to begin to develop research protocols and explore the outreach goals for this project, including the implications for university students and their families in Australia and the US,” states Professor Dworkin.
A goal of the GPSA sponsored trips is to work towards creating global opportunities for University of Minnesota students.
