Beth Lewis, PhD, Director of the School of Kinesiology, recently shared her knowledge on winter weather exercise as part of an American Heart Association (AHA) news story titled, “You Don’t Have to Be an Olympian to Find Exercise Thrills in Winter’s Chill.” Although freezing temperatures can be daunting, Lewis reminds us to embrace the weather and all it has to offer. “A lot of times we forget about having fun when we exercise,” says Lewis. “And doing [winter] activities can bring that fun back.”
