Curriculum and Instruction Professor Cynthia Lewis has been elected by the Literacy Research Association’s membership to the LRA Board of Directors. The Literacy Research Association (LRA) is a community of scholars dedicated to promoting research that enriches the knowledge, understanding, and development of lifespan literacies in a multicultural and multilingual world. Central to its mission, LRA mentors and supports future generations of literacy scholars. Lewis will begin her three-year term on the Board starting at the end of the San Diego conference in December 2012.
