It is with great sadness that we report that Herbert L. Pick, Jr., professor emeritus in the Institute of Child Development, died unexpectedly June 18 at the age of 81. Herb was a cornerstone in our community for more than 49 years. He will be greatly missed, always remembered, and deeply cherished.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 24, 11 a.m., at the MacMillan Auditorium in the Oswald Visitor Center at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chaska. Memorials preferred to the Herb Pick Applied Development Seed Grant Fund at the Institute of Child Development; the Young Dance All Abilities Program; or the YMCA Camp Widjiwagan Campership Fund.
