Kaitlin Young, an undergraduate alumna of the School of Kinesiology’s kinesiology program (’11), was interviewed in an MMA Mania article, “PFL 6’s Kaitlin Young on ‘misunderstanding’ between female fighters and male coaches: Things ‘get glossed over.’” In the article, Young explains how her kinesiology background has helped her be successful in her MMA career. She also noted how having a background in kinesiology helps discern whether coaches know what they’re talking about, especially when it comes to male coaches speaking on female body structures.
