On his 90th, what is Dr. Art Leon up to now?

With COVID-19 bearing down, Dr. Art Leon relocated his Cooke Hall emeritus office at the end of last spring semester to his home in the western suburbs of Minneapolis … and without missing a beat simply picked up where he left off.

Until his retirement in 2018, Dr. Leon had been with the University of Minnesota since 1973 when he was recruited by Dr. Henry Blackburn, colleague of the world-famous scientist, Ancel Keys, to come to the U of M to work on an NIH study involving men at high risk of heart attack due to smoking, blood pressure, and cholesterol.

Still going more than strong on the occasion of his 90th birthday this month, the School of Kinesiology caught up with Dr. Leon and asked him how he is doing. Read more here.
