The Nordic Journal of Comparative and International Education (NJCIE) recently announced that an article co-authored by Frances Vavrus, OLPD, was the journal’s most-read article for calendar year 2020 as well as all-time over the history of the publication.
Co-authored with Lesley Bartlett (University of Wisconsin-Madison) and originally published in 2017, “Comparative Case Studies: An Innovative Approach,” argues for a new, comparative approach to case studies, which “engages two logics of comparison: first, the more common compare and contrast; and second, a ‘tracing across’ sites or scales.”
Professor Vavrus is the faculty Coordinator of Graduate Programs in Comparative and International Development Education within OLPD.
