On April 16, Dr. Nicole M. LaVoi, faculty in the School of Kinesiology and associate director of the Tucker Center, will give an invited keynote entitled, “The Power of Girls: Being Bright, Bossy, Brave” at the Minnesota Athena Leadership Awards, emceed by KARE 11 Television’s Randy Shaver. The event will honor 42 young women. The Athena Leadership Awards honor professional excellence, community service and the active assistance of women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.
