LaVoi, faculty in the School of Kinesiology, whose research examines male and female coaching demographics, is quoted in a KARE-11 article and video, “UMD lets go of women’s hockey coach,” saying, “I have never in my entire career heard of a male coach being let go because he’s being paid too much.”
