Dr. Jacob Sorensen receives award at the Integrative Physiology of Exercise Meeting

Dr. Jake Sorensen, a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Sarah Greising’s laboratory, received an award at the American Physiological Society’s Integrative Physiology of Exercise 2020 conference for his work. The award was one of two sponsored by the Journal of Applied Physiology for oral presentations during the meeting. Jake presented on work provides evidence that volumetric muscle loss injury has a negative impact on the remaining neuromuscular junctions and provides a unique pathology of secondary denervation.
