Don Dengel, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Integrative Human Physiology, is the lead author of an article published in the International Journal of Sports Medicine entitled “Re-opening exercise science laboratories and testing during the COVID-19 endemic phase.” Dengel describes the safety procedures necessary for exercise science laboratories to create a safe environment for subjects, laboratory personnel, and equipment upon reopening following the COVID-19 pandemic. Nick Evanoff, MS graduate and current PhD candidate from the School of Kinesiology, was also a co-author on this article.
