Donald R. Dengel, Ph.D., a professor of kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Integrative Human Physiology, and doctoral candidate Tyler Bosch [pictured at right] are authors of an article to be published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. The article entitled “Body Composition and Bone Mineral Density of National Football League Players” examined body composition and bone density in over 400 professional football player.
This manuscript received the Gary A. Dudley Memorial Honor manuscript designation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, an esteemed association that disseminates research that provides practical applications to improve athletic performance and fitness. This scholarship, named after one of the true pioneers in modern exercise physiology research, is one of the highest honors the National Strength and Conditioning Association awards.
