Family Social Science to offer student Huddle Days

The Department of Family Social Science is offering FSOS students the opportunity to focus on finals in community with classmates, teachers, and staff on two Fridays, December 3 and 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in multiple McNeal Hall rooms on the St. Paul campus.

This “co-working” time will feature food, refreshments, and fellowship and give students the opportunity to get academic support from peers and professors.

“Whether students prefer working in quiet rooms or rooms with a song list, McNeal can accommodate their preferences,” says Stacey Horn, FSOS Department Head. “We want to make sure students know they don’t have to face finals or end of semester assignments on their own.”

A joint FSOS/Youth Studies Career Fair is Friday, December 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Second Floor Multipurpose room in the Recreation and Wellness Center, 123 Harvard St. SE, Minneapolis. Students are encouraged to network with FSOS alumni and then take one of the UMN Connector buses to the St. Paul campus.

Students with questions about Career Fair or Huddle Days can contact Brandon Evilla, undergraduate academic advisor, at evill002@umn.edu, or call the FSOS Main Office at 612-625-1900.
