Kinesiology Research Day 2022 was an absolute hit this year! Conducted on April 15th in Walter Library’s Digital Technology Center, the event had five talk presentations, 22 graduate/professional posters, and five undergraduate posters. Dr. Chelsey Thul, Dr. Vicki Schull, Dr. Landy Lu, and Dr. Christiana Raymond-Pope judged the presentations. Winning the talk presentation was Hannah Silva-Breen with “Development and Psychometric Testing of the Coach Self-Efficacy Body Image Scale.” Tony Harris’s “Paternal Support of Youth Physical Activity: Exploring the Relationship Amid African American Fathers and Daughters” was voted the People’s Choice talk.
The Behavioral Physical Activity lab swept the poster session for both the Graduate/Professional and Undergraduate Poster. Among the best-voted posters were Stephanie Grace, Amanda Folk, Brooke Wagner, Taylor Krone, and Emma Heverly. Nearly 50 people, including some faculty members (e.g., Drs. Daheia Barr-Anderson, Zan Gao, Sarah Greising, Juergen Konczak, Michael Wade), attended the event. Dr. Dunja Antunovic also made an oral presentation at the beginning. It was awesome to have everyone come out in person this year and we can’t wait to see everyone next year.
