Tonight Shannon Eastin becomes the first woman ever to officiate an NFL game. In a KARE-11 televised interview, Dr. Nicole M. LaVoi, associate director for the Tucker Center and faculty in the School of Kinesiology, comments that this milestone is “very important for breaking gender stereotypes.”
