Members of APAL present posters at NAPSPA

apal Members of the Affordance Perception-Action Laboratory (APAL), presented at the National Association for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (NAPSPA) meeting, which took place June 13-15, in New Orleans, La. Three posters were presented by APAL members throughout the meeting.

  • Thomas Stoffregen, Ph.D., director of the APAL, and professor of kinesiology, and doctoral student Eric Haaland, presented the poster, “Human Gait at Sea,” along with Jeffrey Kaipust.
  • Doctoral candidate Lisa Gasior, and professor Michael Wade, Ph.D., presented, “Spontaneous Movement Coordination in Children with Impairments: A Pilot Study,” with Alexandria De Vries.
  • Dr. Stroffregen, and doctoral candidate Yi-Chou Chen, presented, “Cognitive and Postural Precursors of Motion Sickness in Adolescent Boxers,” with School of Kinesiology alumnus Dr. Chen, Tzu-Chiang Tseng, Ting-Hsuan Hung, and City C Hsieh.
