Antunovic discusses women sports in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine

Dunja Antunovic, PhD, assistant professor of sport sociology in the School of Kinesiology and Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport affiliated scholar, recently talked to Mpls.St.Paul Magazine for their article entitled, “Minnesota’s Women Athletes Are Disrupting Sports Online.” In the article, Dr. Antunovic highlights how social media and online spaces can be a beneficial area to create “disruption” in regards to how women’s sports are covered in the media. The article references data from the DisruptHERS report published by the Tucker Center, which is co-authored by director and senior lecturer, Nicole M. LaVoi, PhD.
