Bijwadia presents at the 2022 AMA Research Challenge

Shefali Bijwadia, a second year medical student and researcher in the Skeletal Muscle Plasticity and Regeneration Laboratory (SMPRL), led by Sarah Greising, PhD, associate professor in the School of Kinesiology, was selected to present her work at the AMA Research Challenge, occurring virtually starting October 20, 2022. The AMA Research Challenge is the largest national, multi-specialty, research event for medical students, residents and fellows, and international medical graduates to showcase and present research. Bijwadia presented a poster entitled, “Drug Therapies after Volumetric Muscle Loss Injury: Recovery of Function and Muscle Mass with Formoterol.” The study is co-authored by SMPRL current and former lab members, Christiana Raymond-Pope, PhD, Tommy Lillquist, and Alec Basten, as well as Drs. Jarrod Call (University of Denver) and Sarah Greising.
