Jo Ann Buysse, Ph.D., senior lecturer in the School of Kinesiology, was featured on local cable channel The CW23 in Rana Kamal’s program, “Our Issues Twin Cities: Breaking Barriers in Women’s Sports.” In the interview, Dr. Buysse shared her expertise on sport media and gender equity in sports.

When discussing media coverage of male and female athletes, Dr. Buysse stated, “Difference is not a bad thing, but the important thing we need to do is respect female athletes. We need to continue to talk to the media and continue to ask for greater representation.”
