Dengel publishes blog on measuring body composition in hockey players

Don Dengel, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Integrative Human Physiology (LIHP), is the author of a recent blog post entitled “Scanning Hockey Players With DXA.” With the collegiate hockey season underway, Dr. Dengel talks about using dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) to determine body composition in collegiate male and female hockey players. This blog post discusses the differences between male and female collegiate hockey players in regard to body composition as well as positional differences in body composition.
