On November 13-14, the Institute for the Study of Sport, Society and Social Change (ISSSSC) at San José State University sponsored the inaugural “Sport, Society and Social Change Conference” in which Tucker Center director and School of Kinesiology senior lecturer Nicole M. LaVoi, PhD, was a keynote panelist in a conversation discussing the state of sport in society. Professionals leaders of sport and sport organizations shared their perspective on aspects that influenced their management decisions during the onset of COVID-19 to and through the Black Lives Matter movement.
