Ji publishes article on nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and its relevance to critical body functions

Li LI Ji, PhD, exercise physiology professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Physiological Hygiene and Exercise Science (LPHES) recently published an article in the journal Cells, entitled “Maintenance of NAD + Homeostasis in Skeletal Muscle during Aging and Exercise”. The article reviews the importance of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), a coenzyme dependent on vitamin B3, in critical body functions. Coauthor, Dongwook Yeo, PhD, was a former trainee from LPHES and is now a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic. Read the full article here.
