Tom Stoffregen, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Affordance Perception-Action Laboratory (APAL), was recently interviewed and quoted by the New York Times. In the article, “Why We Get Motion Sick, and How to Stop It,” Stoffregen offers that we suffer motion sickness because the body is unable to stabilize itself properly. Additionally, in the article Stoffregen recommends ginger products as a preventative, as long as they contain real ginger.
