In this episode of “Tucker Center Talks” [S2E11], Nicole M. LaVoi, Ph.D., senior lecturer in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Tucker Center, talks to her new colleague and fellow college tennis player Dr. Dunja Antunovic, who will join her as a new assistant professor in the Tucker Center in the fall of 2020. Antunovic is currently finishing out her stint as an assistant professor of Sports Communication at the Charley Steiner School of Sports Communication at Bradley University. LaVoi and Antunovic discuss her areas of research around representation of women in sports media, women in sport journalism and Antunovic’s forthcoming new book, co-authored with TC affiliated scholar Dr. Cheryl Cooky, which in part covers narratives of progress and failure for women’s sport.
