Evanoff publishes research on intraoperative vascular imaging

Nicholas Evanoff, MS, doctoral student in the School of Kinesiology and laboratory manager of the Laboratory of Integrative Human Physiology (LIHP), is a co-author of an article “Feasibility of intraoperative aortic root imaging in congenital heart surgery”, in Echocardiography: A Journal of Cardiovascular Ultrasound and Allied Techniques

The publication suggests that vascular imaging is possible during open heart surgery and may guide certain procedures. This is the first case series reported to measure intima media thickness during congenital heart surgery.
